CMC | INLINE DISC CHOKE
Cactus Flow Products
The Cactus Flow Products CMC is a quarter-turn inline disc choke for accurate, straight-through flow control in abrasive service. Two precision-lapped MOV discs rotate against each other to meter flow, taking the choke from open to closed in a single quarter turn.
Diamond-lapped discs seat for reliable shut-off while differential pressure holds them together to steady flow and cut vibration, and a wiping action keeps the faces clean. An open flow path passes large solids, and tungsten carbide, ceramic, or stainless discs resist erosive, high-velocity flow.
Rated at 5,000 PSI, the CMC offers pie, circular, or half-moon flow areas and a replaceable outlet wear sleeve. Threaded, flanged, butt-weld, or socket-weld ends fit the line, manual or actuated.
Typical Applications:
Straight-through inline flow control, large-solids and abrasive service, accurate disc-style throttling, production and flowback operations, and automated choke control.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the CFP CMC Choke Performs Where It Counts
PASSES LARGE SOLIDS WITHOUT PLUGGING
The open, straight-through flow path lets the CMC handle large solids that would lodge in a plug-and-cage trim. That keeps it flowing in dirty, debris-laden service where other chokes foul and stick.
DISC TRIM THAT SEALS AND SURVIVES
Diamond-lapped discs flat within two light bands seat for reliable shut-off, and a wiping action keeps the faces clean each stroke. Tungsten carbide or ceramic discs resist the wear of erosive, high-velocity flow, extending service life.
STEADY, LOW-VIBRATION CONTROL
Differential pressure holds the discs together during throttling, steadying flow and cutting the vibration that damages trim and piping. Operators get smooth, repeatable control across the stroke.
FAST QUARTER-TURN OPERATION
A single quarter turn takes the choke from open to closed, giving quick response for manual or actuated control. The compact inline body drops straight into the run without added fittings.
