CC20 | EXTERNAL SLEEVE CHOKE
Cactus Flow Products
The Cactus Flow Products CC20 is a 2" external sleeve choke for accurate, high-pressure flow control. A ported cage pairs with an external sleeve in an angled body, opening and closing flow area as the sleeve strokes across the cage ports.
This arrangement delivers a higher liquid pressure recovery factor across a wide range of openings, lowering cavitation and vibration risk while holding precise control. The cage and sleeve are machined from solid tungsten carbide or stainless steel to resist erosive, high-velocity flow.
Rated 5,000 to 15,000 PSI, the CC20 takes threaded, flanged, butt-weld, or socket-weld ends. Trim sizes 0.75" through 3.2" match the flow coefficient in a larger bore than the CC10, and the choke is available manual or actuated.
Typical Applications:
High-pressure flow control, cavitation and vibration-prone service, erosive and high-velocity flow, larger-bore production and injection lines, and automated choke control.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the CFP CC20 Choke Performs Where It Counts
HIGHER RECOVERY, LESS CAVITATION
The external sleeve and ported cage deliver a higher liquid pressure recovery factor across a wider range of openings. That lowers the risk of cavitation and the vibration and damage it causes, protecting the trim and the downstream line.
LARGER BORE FOR HIGHER FLOW
The 2" configuration carries higher flow volumes than the 1" CC10 while keeping the same recovery and control characteristics. That lets it serve larger-bore production and injection lines without stepping outside the family.
ACCURATE CONTROL UNDER PRESSURE
The sleeve-and-cage arrangement holds precise flow control across the full stroke, even at high differential pressure. Operators get repeatable throttling rather than the coarse steps of a simpler choke.
TRIM THAT SURVIVES EROSIVE FLOW
Solid tungsten carbide or stainless cage and sleeve components resist the wear of sand-laden, high-velocity flow. The angled body routes flow to keep erosion off the trim and body walls, extending service life.
