CARBON & STAINLESS STEEL
GAUGE COCKS

Superior Products

The Superior Products Carbon & Stainless Steel Gauge Cocks isolate gauge glass assemblies with an inline vent and drain connection. A forged body is stronger and more reliable than a cast one, and stainless steel internals stand up to corrosive field service in both carbon and stainless versions.

Every valve is 100% hydro-tested to a 1.5x safety factor before it ships, and the design pairs with Superior gauge glass and guards for a complete sight-flow package. Carbon steel suits standard service while stainless handles corrosive and sour conditions.

Rated at 500 PSI working pressure, the gauge cocks use a 1/2" or 3/4" MNPT rigid vessel connection with a 5/8" or 3/4" OD gauge glass connection. Made in the USA.

Typical Applications:
Gauge glass isolation and shutoff, tank and vessel level assemblies, corrosive and sour-service isolation, vent and drain service, and sight-flow indication management.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES

Why the Superior Carbon & Stainless Gauge Cocks Perform Where It Counts

FORGED WITH STAINLESS INTERNALS

The forged body reduces the imperfections common to castings, and stainless steel internals resist corrosion in both carbon and stainless versions. That combination delivers a stronger, longer-lasting gauge cock.

100% HYDRO-TESTED

Every valve is hydro-tested to a 1.5x safety factor before shipment, verifying integrity before it reaches the field. That gives confidence the valve holds on critical sight-flow service.

INLINE VENT AND DRAIN

The integral vent and drain connection lets operators safely bleed and drain the gauge assembly during service. That simplifies maintenance and reduces spill risk.

MATERIAL FOR THE SERVICE

Carbon steel covers standard applications while the stainless version handles corrosive and sour conditions, with NACE-compliant options available. One design spans general and severe service.

Other Products by Superior Products

Stainless Steel Gauge Cocks

Stainless steel gauge cock that isolates and vents a gauge glass, rated for higher pressures and corrosive media.

Superior Drum Gauge

Boiler drum water gauge that gives a clear, direct reading of liquid level for safe monitoring of steam
drum operation.

ESG Series

Sealed gauge glass assembly that shields the sight glass from weather and contaminants for reliable outdoor level indication.

Gauge Glass

Transparent gauge glass that provides a direct visual reading of liquid level in tanks, columns,
and process vessels.

Gauge Guards

Protective gauge guard that shields the gauge glass from impact and accidental contact while keeping the level fully visible.

Stainless Steel Bleed Rings

Stainless steel bleed ring that installs between flanges to provide a tapped point for draining, venting, or sampling the line.

Carbon Steel Bleed Rings

Carbon steel bleed ring that installs between flanges to provide a tapped point for draining, venting, or sampling the line.

Spring Loaded Ball Checks

Spring-loaded ball check that seals automatically if the gauge glass fails, stopping flow and containing the process fluid safely.

Bird Cages

Bird cage guard that surrounds a tubular gauge glass with protective rods, shielding it from impact while keeping level visible.

2" Tee Style BPR

Two-inch tee-style back pressure regulator that holds consistent upstream pressure by relieving excess flow through the tee body.

2" Hammer Union BPR

Two-inch back pressure regulator with a hammer union end for fast makeup, holding steady upstream pressure in the line.

3" Tee Style BPR

Three-inch tee-style back pressure regulator that holds consistent upstream pressure by relieving excess flow through the tee body.

3" Hammer Union BPR

Three-inch back pressure regulator with a hammer union end for fast makeup, holding steady upstream pressure in the line.

Inline BPR

Inline back pressure regulator that installs directly in the run and holds steady upstream pressure without a separate tee body.

Extreme BPR

Heavy-duty back pressure regulator built for extreme pressures and abrasive service where standard regulators reach their limit.

Brass Gauge Cocks

Brass gauge cock that isolates and vents a gauge glass or column, allowing safe blowdown and glass replacement in service.
