TRUNNION BALL VALVE - TOP ENTRY
GWC USA
The GWC USA One Piece Trunnion Ball Valve - Top Entry is a top entry trunnion mounted ball valve for in-line service on critical pipelines. The ball is fixed on trunnions for reliable sealing at low torque, and a one-piece body with bolted bonnet is accessed from the top without removing the valve from the line.
The design permits full repair in line and allows the valve to be welded directly into the pipeline for easy maintenance. Double block and bleed, single or double piston effect seats, an anti-blow out stem, firesafe certification, and spring loaded seats carry the full trunnion feature set.
Available in sizes 2" through 56" and ASME Class 150 through 2500 and API 5000 through 15000, the valve is built to API 6D and 6A and ASME B16.34. Cast or forged construction supports carbon, alloy, and stainless materials with full or reduced bore and NACE MR-01-75 construction.
Typical Applications:
Pipelines and gathering systems, welded-in-line installations, offshore and onshore facilities, subsea and underground installations, abrasive and high-temperature service, and applications needing in-line maintenance.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the GWC Top Entry Trunnion Ball Valve performs where it counts.
FULL REPAIR WITHOUT REMOVING THE VALVE
The top entry bonnet opens the valve for seat, seal, and trim service from above while the body stays in the line. That eliminates the cost and downtime of cutting out or unbolting the valve for overhaul.
WELD IT DIRECTLY INTO THE LINE
Because the internals come out the top, the one-piece body can be welded straight into the pipeline rather than flanged, reducing leak paths and installed cost. Maintenance access is preserved even on a fully welded run.
LOW TORQUE AT HIGH PRESSURE
Because the ball is fixed on trunnions, line pressure loads the seats rather than the ball, keeping operating torque low even at high pressure and large sizes. That means smaller actuators and easier operation than a floating design.
DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED ISOLATION
The dual-seat arrangement isolates both sides and vents the body cavity between them for verifiable positive isolation. That supports safe operation on transmission and gathering lines without a second valve.
