TRUNNION BALL VALVE - WELDED BODY
GWC USA
The GWC USA Trunnion Ball Valve - Welded Body is a fully welded side entry trunnion mounted ball valve that minimizes leakage paths for buried and subsea lines. The ball is fixed on trunnions for reliable sealing at low torque, and the one-piece welded body removes the bolted joints that are the most common external leak points.
A special welding technique joins the body sections without post-weld heat treatment or soft-seal damage. Double block and bleed, single or double piston effect seats, an anti-blow out stem, firesafe certification, and spring loaded seats carry over the full trunnion feature set.
Available in sizes 2" through 56" and ASME Class 150 through 1500, the valve is built to API 6D and 6DSS and ASME B16.34. Full and reduced bore, carbon, alloy, and stainless bodies, NACE MR-01-75 construction, and sealant injection suit buried and subsea service.
Typical Applications:
Pipelines and transmission lines, underground and buried installations, subsea applications, pumping and compression stations, abrasive and high-temperature service, and manual or automated block service.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the GWC Welded Body Trunnion Ball Valve performs where it counts.
FEWER LEAK PATHS FOR BURIED LINES
The one-piece welded body removes the bolted joints that are the most common external leak points, making it ideal for installations that cannot be dug up or accessed. Reliability stays high over long service life underground and subsea.
WELDED WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE SEALS
A special welding technique joins the body sections without post-weld heat treatment and without heat-damaging the soft seals. That delivers the integrity of a welded body while keeping full soft-seat sealing performance.
LOW TORQUE AT HIGH PRESSURE
Because the ball is fixed on trunnions, line pressure loads the seats rather than the ball, keeping operating torque low even at high pressure and large sizes. That means smaller actuators and easier operation than a floating design.
DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED ISOLATION
The dual-seat arrangement isolates both sides and vents the body cavity between them for verifiable positive isolation. That supports safe operation on transmission and gathering lines without a second valve.
